Why isn't usability easy? Complex tasks aren't easy to execute. Sometimes, technology gets in the way. Sometimes, our own ambition to make each site exceptional gets in the way.
What's the good news? Clear, logical information architectures help.
Testing helps even more. Usability testing lets us look at sites with new eyes, helping us spot the barriers we have inadvertently placed between customers and their goals.
